An American arrives in Moscow expecting savages, because that is what the magazines at home told him to expect. A gang of con men stages exactly that for him and charges for it, until the real Bolsheviks show him around. The cowboy bodyguard is Boris Barnet, one of the crooks is Pudovkin, and Alexandra Khokhlova plays the fake countess all elbows.
In one programme
Kuleshov's workshop in a comedy, and the method is American: fast cuts, stunts, a cowboy loose in Moscow. Half the movement is in the cast.
