Hangman's House

John Ford, Fox, 1928. Irish melodrama with June Collyer, Larry Kent, and a young John Wayne in a bit. A hanging judge, a forced marriage, a horse race that settles more than bets. Silent, about seventy minutes. Ford is already staging weather and doorways as if they were arguments.
